  • It is a private, walking tour. Your English-speaking guide is reserved only for your family.
  • The length of the tour is 3 hours; most of it is outdoors. Ask if you are interested in a shorter option of 2 hours.
  • Open and available almost every day, except select major holidays and the first Sunday of the month.
  • Transportation to the tour is not included, but can be arranged for an extra fee.

  • 24 hours minimum notice is required for a reservation. Availabilities are limited, so order early!
  • We visit rain or shine, so bring appropriate protection from the elements.
  • The terrain of the ancient areas is uneven and makes the use of wheelchairs and strollers very difficult, though possible if absolutely required.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a bottle of water (there are fountains available so you can refill your bottle).
  • Upon booking by email, we will provide all the instructions necessary to obtain the tickets required for entry.
  • We do not include the Underground or 3rd Tier levels of the Colosseum on our tour, but ask if this is something you wish to see and we can provide alternative arrangements so that this option is possible.

The city of Romeo and Juliet isn’t just for lovers! Join us on this private 3-hour tour for kids and families in the company of our guide who specialises in child-friendly tours. You will see the delights of the Arena, Piazza Bra, Piazza del Erbe, Porta Borsari, the Cathedral, Castelvecchio, Juliet’s balcony, Romeo’s house and many other amazing sights, including Saint Peter’s Hill with its breathtaking views. Your guide will make history come alive with the use of iPad and a number of other visual tools.

Also included in the tour is the scenic funicular ride to reach Saint Peter’s Hill, one of the highlights of any trip to Verona.

After meeting in the Piazza Bra (Bra Square) your family-friendly guide will take you on a voyage of discovery to all the most interesting sights in Verona. First you will be taken inside the Arena, an ancient amphitheatre where over 2000 years ago the ancient Romans would enjoy gladiator fights, animal hunts and a number of other bloodthirsty pursuits!

You will then visit the place where Romeo and Juliet fell in love and visit the most famous site in all of Verona, Juliet’s balcony. We then take you to visit the residence of the local princes (the fortress of Castelvecchio). Here you can also see their tombs and even a mummy!

During the tour your guide will ensure the children are fully engaged, recounting tales and playing games specifically tailored to your children’s ages.

This delightful walking tour finishes on a high – a funicular ride to reach Saint Peter’s Mount, where you will enjoy spectacular views over the city Verona.
