Tour Description

Discover the rich historical past of Rome on our family-focused guided excursion!

There’s so much to see and discover in Rome that it can be overwhelming, especially if you are traveling with children. That’s why we created this kid-friendly tour with a focus on history, where you will have the opportunity to explore the top landmarks of the city such as Castel Sant'Angelo, Pantheon and Piazza Navona in a relaxed and playful way.

Our goal is to provide a memorable and fun experience for the whole family. Our experts guides, specialized in kids activities, will engage both children and parents in treasure hunts, trivia, quizzes and other interactive games organized to keep the tour entertaining and educational at the same time.

We will start our adventure tour with Castel Sant’Angelo—one of the most iconic buildings of the city. Originally built as a tomb for Emperor Hadrian and his family, it was transformed by Popes into their private residence, and then used as a prison, as a place for public executions and as the State Treasury. You will discover how the Castle changed over the centuries and learn many interesting historical facts, including the story about mysterious Passetto di Borgo – an elevated passageway that links the Vatican City with the Castle, used as an escape route for Popes in danger.

A pleasurable walk through the city centre will bring us to the next stop of our tour – the magnificent Pantheon. This ancient Roman temple survived almost intact through the years. Originally built as a pagan temple dedicated to all the gods, it was then converted into a Christian Church during the medieval era. In the company of you professional tour guide you will head straight inside to explore the history, symbolism, and architectural features of the Temple. Here you will also be able to see the tombs of the legendary Renaissance artist Raphael and Italian King Vittorio Emanuele II.

At the end of our tour you will discover another emblematic landmark of Rome – Piazza Navona. It is one of the most popular tourist areas in Rome with a vivid atmosphere and a plenty of monuments worth visiting. Here you will discover the Four River Fountain of Bernini, the Egyptian Obelisk, the Pamphili Palace and much more.

Your expert guide will engage both children and parents in amazing scavenger hunts and other playful activities to make your visit to Rome a memorable and exciting experience for the whole family!

John with our tour Guide Simona

"What an unbelievable tour! Touring Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon privately is a perfect way to be immersed in history. We were lucky to have Simona as our guide (again!). She made it a truly memorable trip! She is very knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and kept our 10-year old son engaged throughout the tour. As he was previously, he was especially excited to win the game and receive a prize - among other items, a key chain of Rome which made him happy as he collects them. Simona want above-and-beyond, and recommended several other sites around Rome that we had to visit (in fact, I ran into her in the middle of Rome while visiting one of these places -- what a small world!). The history about which we were able to learn and experience was unbelievable. Thank you Simona - we, once again, had a wonderful time! We highly recommend this tour! ", John
